Australia Preparing to Thwart China Aggression
Australian Prime Minister Morrison has allocated 1.1 billion dollars to update and upgrade the Tyndall air base, to give China pause on extending their military incursions in the South China Sea.
Part of the upgrades will entail extending runways to enable 52 U.S. strategic bombers and kc30 refueling planes to be operational in the area. This will give Australia and the U.S. the capability to reach strategic targets in China.
Also, talks of what weapon systems should be implemented continue. Many military experts feel that land based anti ship missile sites would be more effective in slowing down China's aggressive stance in the region.
The U.S. has approved 1.4 billion dollars to deliver 200 agm-158c long range anti-ship missiles capable of being fired from our F-18 super hornets and F-35's, making Australia a force to be reckoned with in the Indo Pacific area.
The planned Tyndall base upgrades took Beijing by surprise, and will hopefully stabilize the region, thwarting China's recent aggressive expansionism.
The base is located outside the range of China's conventional ballistic missiles, so this action will definitely slow down China's expansionism.
Many fear a Chinese attack on Australia would start a conflict that would draw super powers such as the U.S. and Russia into the picture, potentially starting a world War.
Hopefully the massive influx of money, and added American support of the Australian military, will stop or at least delay China's plan to expand in the South China sea area.
