Judge Gives Woman a Big Dose of Karma

 In the news recently, a judge handed out a very unusual sentence. But then again, he was known for meting out some very innovative and fitting punishments for those who appeared in front of him. 

Names have been redacted to preserve individuals' privacy, though in this case, the perpetrator really deserves no consideration at all.

The accused had a squalid house full of cats and their kittens.  The woman had a cruel and heartless solution to cut down on her kitten population, and she sprang into action.

Split between two separate patches of deep forest, she put a box of kittens in  each tract of woods.

Needless to say, they did not fare well, and when two forest rangers happened on said boxes, the aftermath for them was traumatizing.

The forest rangers soon tracked down where the boxes came from and arrested the woman responsible.

The judge she appeared before was an 'eye for an eye' type of fellow. He had been known to hand out many strange punishments, both creative and fitting.

Once the case was presented, the judge was less than thrilled about what he had heard, and meted out swift justice that fit the crime.

He sentenced the woman to stay out in the woods all night for two nights, without any of the comforts of home.  She was allowed only to wear the clothes on her back, with no food, phone, light or anything else.

The judge wanted her to feel the same fear and horror the kittens had felt, after being left alone in the dark woods to die, so he imposed sentencing that literally fit the crime.

Known for his karmic and fitting sentences over the years, this case had particularly annoyed him, and justice  was served cold in his chambers that day.

Later, the woman emerged from her 2 day sentencing, terrified and crying, but otherwise unscathed.  Too bad the kittens hadn't fared as well.

Hopefully, lesson learned, and the defendant deterred from any other acts of cruelty toward animals.
